5 Reasons Why Beer House is The Best Bar in Lombard
Have you ever been to a bar that carried over 360 different types of craft brews? Can you even comprehend just how many that is? The newly opened Beer House located in the Yorktown Mall is unlike anything in the area and is the best bar in Lombard. What is it that makes this place so great? Here are five reasons why:
1. Beer Selection
Beer House carries over 300 bottled beers and 60 on tap. If you’re looking for something light and easy to drink, they’ve got it. If you’re looking for something hoppy with a bite, they’ve got it. Or maybe you have no idea what you want and you want to try them all, you can do that too.
Beer House offers beer flights of four 5 oz. pours for $15 each. This gives you the opportunity to try several different types and hopefully discover a new favorite. Their extensive beer menu includes popular and sought after brews like Bell’s Hopslam 2013, Stone Arrogant Bastard with Centennial and Delirium Tremens on tap! My personal favorite was the Small Town Alcohol Root Beer 10, or as I like to call it, not your childhood root beer. Absolutely delicious (and strong too).
Beer House is located in the courtyard of Yorktown Mall right off of I-355 and Highland Avenue in Lombard, IL. This is a prime location for the young and old with hundreds of restaurants, shops and things to do nearby like the AMC Theater, Lucky Strike bowling and Gnarly J’s. Not only that, but Beer House is also easily accessible from I-88 and just a few short miles from I-294. No matter where you’re coming from or what your plans are, you can easily make Beer House part of your afternoon or evening.
Not everyone is a craft beer connoisseur, myself included. The staff at Beer House is extremely knowledgeable about all of their offerings and can help you make the best decision that works with your taste. My server was not only knowledgeable, but also very outgoing and fun and a complete pleasure to have around. They make you feel comfortable. Ask anything, I dare you!
Yes, you read correctly. Bring Your Own Food. Whether it’s a home cooked meal or a burrito from the nearby Chipotle, it’s welcome at Beer House. Since they don’t offer any food or have a kitchen in their facility, they welcome you to bring whatever it is you feel like eating. Just don’t forget utensils.
How many bars have you walked into that had shelves stacked with checkers, Apples to Apples and Trouble? I’m going to guess none. Beer House offers several board and card games, perfect for spending a night out with friends or a fun date night activity. Have a favorite board game at home? Bring it! Anything goes here.
On top of all this, Beer House has several flat screen TV’s perfect for enjoying any sporting event you’d like, audio included. Although the prices are slightly steep, it’s worth every penny.
